Luke Jurevicius has been fascinated with writing music from a very young age.
However, his frustration with music theory and general laziness at the time left him devoid of any ability to read music! Yet despite this apparent impediment, his ‘hobby’ morphed into a viable career path.
In early 2000, Luke wrote the music for his brother’s Orpheus and the Underworld project for ABC’s online platform entitled “I love you to bits”.
The mesmerising track remained in the consciousness of the ABC and several years later, his major breakthrough arrived when when he was asked to compose the music for 12 X 5 minute animated films for ABC’s Dust Echoes TV series. Luke won the 2007 APRA-AGSC Screen Music Award for best music for Children’s Television.
Luke has written music across multiple mediums and platforms including online & console games, TV and short film. He is one of the principle composer’s for the Figaro Pho Television series, the soul composer for Peleda, and Junction.
