Music

Luke Jurevicius has been fascinated with writing music from a very young age. His first instrument was a two stringed banjo.

However, his frustration with music theory (and general adolescent laziness) left him devoid of any ability or desire to read music!  Yet despite this impediment his ‘hobby’ morphed into a viable career path.

In early 2000, Luke wrote the music for his brother’s Orpheus and the Underworld project for ABC’s online platform entitled “I love you to bits”.

The mesmerising track remained in the consciousness of the ABC and several years later, his major breakthrough arrived when when he was asked to compose the music for 12 X 5 minute animated films for ABC’s Dust Echoes TV series.  Luke won the 2007 APRA-AGSC Screen Music Award for best music for Children’s Television.

He would later win the same award 9 years later for his work on The New Adventures of Figaro Pho alongside fellow composers Michael Darren and Chris Larkin.

Luke has written music across multiple mediums and platforms including online & console games, TV and short film.  He is one of the principle composer’s for the Figaro Pho Television series, the soul composer for Peleda, and Junction.
